
The
Whiteford Wicked Aces jumped out to a strong start to the season on Sunday,
sweeping both the Donkeys and King Friday. The Aces, a first-year expansion
team, demonstrated their depth at pitching by utilizing four different pitchers
to combine for 22 innings of shutout ball. More amazingly, the team had two
perfect games (by the #3 and #4 pitchers in its rotation) and a no-hitter while
allowing only six runners. The most well-known WWA player, Austin Bischoff,
opened the day with a 7-inning no-hitter, Joel Crozier came in relief to work
out of a no-out, bases loaded jam in the first and allowed one hit over 5
innings of work, and Justin Hughes and Evan Bischoff both tossed perfectos
